Abstract

Background. In terms of the geopolitical situation in recent years around Russia, strengthening its national security becomes a priority. The most important component of national security, as we know, is food security. Preservation of food security is a factor of country’s sovereignty maintenance, sustainable development and people’s life quality improvement. The aim of this study is to develop a universal methodology of management of sustainable development factors, the application of which would provide the maximal economic effect at minimal costs taking into account the regional specifics ensuring a positive synergetic effect for the state in whole.
Materials and methods. In order to achieve the above-stated goals the authors conducted a questionnaire survey among employees of enterprises, sampling, expert survey of their managers and professionals, as well as a correlation and regression analysis of the data.
Results. The researchers have revealed two groups of factors: firstly, factors, the actual applied efficiency of which influences the applied efficiency of factors of a higher level, characterizing interim results of productional activities of enterprises under consideration; secondly, factors influencing profitability, profit volumes, labor productivity – indicators that characterize development stability of regional business entities.
Conclusions. The practice of sustainable development factors management at the regional level should provide for identification of key factors tha have direct or indirect influence on results of productional activities, as well as managerial influences in order to optimize the efficiency level of the given factors usage, to improve regional investment attractiveness, to optimally use human capital and, as a result, to provide sustainable development of the state in whole.
